The labour market is currently becoming increasingly tight. Hospitals are also under pressure due to staff shortages. They want to spend more time on patients, but it’s barely possible. Automating logistics processes can be a way towards solution. At Weber Hospital Systems, we like to think about innovative solutions: from an automated storage system to robotic transport of beds and mattresses.
We have developed an automated storage system for the storage of hospital beds and mattresses. Thanks to the modular design, we can adapt this system according to the specific preferences for each hospital. Does your hospital use our Validated Disinfection System (VDS) for the cleaning and disinfection of beds and mattresses? Then we can connect the storage system to this.
For example, we installed two VDS washing machines in the Herlev Hospital in Denmark with a full automated loading process. Once clean, the beds and mattresses are automatically stored. Do you need an emergency bed or mattress? Thanks to a so-called fast track, beds and mattresses can be processed even quicker, outside the storage system. The system can run 24 hours a day, partly unsupervised.
